Caber Sure Fit Inc. was established in February 2010 when Caber Distributors Inc. acquired Sure Fit™ Home Furnishings Ltd. For Caber, this acquisition signified a milestone in its corporate history and represented an exciting opportunity to provide its five distribution channels with more top quality products, as well as develop additional channels and products.
Since 2001, Caber Distributors, a Canadian company based in Markham, Ontario, has been Defining the Sleep Zone™ by providing healthy sleep solutions for the entire family with its exceptional line of innovative bedding products. For over 50 years, Sure Fit™, a Canadian company based in Ajax, Ontario, has been manufacturing and distributing fashionable, top quality ready-made slipcovers for a wide range of upholstered sofas and chairs.
In the beginning, Caber Distributors was just a hobby for Bernard Weinstein who was happily working as a CRM systems specialist in Toronto. His childhood friends from South Africa, now living in the United States, pleaded with him to distribute Protect-A-Bed® throughout Canada. In his spare time, he introduced Protect-A-Bed® to a few key Toronto retailers. When he saw their enthusiastic endorsement, he realized that these protectors were unique in the marketplace because they were comfortable, pliable, and most importantly thin.
As Protect-A-Bed® products began to fly off the shelves in the United States; Bernard Weinstein became more intrigued and very interested. Eventually, he gave up his day job and the rest is history. Today, Protect-A-Bed® is the #1 best-selling mattress protector in the world with over two million sold annually in 27 countries.
From its inception, Caber has embodied innovation, generosity, integrity and win-win business relationships. With its dedicated, hard working staff, Caber established a national sales force, trained retailers in product usage and customer satisfaction, and revolutionized the industry standard with its “thin is in” protectors.
With its superior coast-to-coast representatives, Caber created five distribution channels – retail, hospitality, pest control, health care and property management.
Throughout its nine year history, the company’s phenomenal growth necessitated four moves to progressively larger premises and the creation of more product lines including the exclusive Sleeplogic® line of top quality sheets, pillowcases, duvets and pillows.
To provide retailers with opportunities for increased profits, Caber created the Caber eShare program, the revolutionary BedCare™ Mattress Warranty, and offers the Diamond-Kote® Furniture Protection Plan and P3 Performance Protection Plan for appliances from W3 Solutions. |
